Classic

Usually a single stone (solitaire) or a three stone ring design where the centre stone is slightly bigger than the two shoulder stones. In principle the setting design is timeless, refined, not too busy, elegant.

Modern

Bold shapes, often asymmetrical, often unconventional in their choices, contemporary, generally a wider or more chunky design as a rule of thumb, but still refined.  .

Art Deco

Defined geometric shapes, linear, architectural, 1920’s 1930’s design influence with a touch of vintage. Refined but more complexity to the design. .

Floral

Leaf shapes, flower motifs, more dainty than bold. Floral design can be incorporated in the metal work of the setting using filigree (fine wire detailing) or in the layout of the stones and stone shapes. Asymmetry works well in floral design.

Halo

A center stone with stones around it. This can be a coloured stone with diamonds around it, a diamond with diamonds around it or a diamond with coloured stones around it. .

Vintage

Antique inspired designs that take elements of edwardian, victorian, art nouveau, or classic styles with a modern edge. Most vintage style rings will have millegrain borders (a beaded texture) and old mine cut diamonds or rose cut stones.
