Classic

Classic rings are usually straight bands, either plain with no stones, or simple in their setting style such as a share claw, pave set or scallop French v-claw. I would also categorise channel setting as classic although some people might call it Modern.

Crown

Crown style wedding rings are usually fitted and peak at the center point on one side like a crown. Some are V-shaped, others are curved in an arc. Some are flat on one side and scalloped on the other. Crown style rings work well with pear shape engagement rings as well as round brilliant solitaires, three stone engagement rings, princess cut center stones set on the angle and marquise shape rings.

Art Deco

Art Deco style is distinctly inspired by 1920’s and 1930’s architecture/design and is made up of bold lines, geometric shapes and is overall more architectural with layered heights and symmetry. Art Deco wedding rings usually take the form of ring jackets, one side or both sides.

Modern

Modern wedding rings will have bold lines and use geometric shapes and are minimal in their detailing. I would say that modern designs are often out side the box such as split rings – where the ring doesn’t join full circle, or a wide plain ring. Modern rings can also be wide with stones set in the side of the ring, or wide with a row of stones off set.

Floral

You can create a floral look with halo double rings that fan out around the center stone. Other ways of bringing in floral styling is to use leaf shapes called marquise and pear stones/diamonds as well as engraving detailing into the metal or millegrain.
