Ring Creation

My workshop is based in Sydney CBD. My master jewelers have over 30 years of experience in forging, crafting, and setting fine jewellery.

All precious metals and diamonds are ethically sourced and I take great pride in being a premium product Australian made.

I love to update my customers with behind the scenes videos and images.  Sharing the process with you from start to finish is not only transparent, it's exciting.

The Final creation

Of course my favourite part of the process is revealing the work of art and handing over the ring. Then the real fun begins! You are ready to propose!

I ask that all customers pay the final remaining amount before picking up the ring, if the ring is ready quite a while before you intend to propose then we are happy to keep it safe for you. We don’t want your partner to find it unexpectedly!

I can also organise jewellery specific insurance for any pieces of jewellery I have made. I often recommend this if you are not going to propose with the ring right away.

The last thing you want at the end of this process is to collect the ring and then misplace or loose it before you place it on your partner’s finger (then its their responsibility! lol.)

No in all seriousness, insurance on an engagement ring is something to really consider. It covers you globally, for total loss, theft or accidental damage and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg (just an arm). I can get you a quote and we can have it insured from the day you pick up the ring and walk out of the studio. Totally easy and entirely up to you and something we can discuss at any time.

The workmanship on any Kate McCoy product is lifetime guaranteed, should any manufacturing fault occur I will repair it or replace it free of charge.

Please note that, like any retail jewellery, this does not include a change of mind or cover wear and tear.

Making a piece of fine jewellery that symbolises such a significant and valued commitment, in my opinion, is a total privilege. Every ring I create, no matter the price point, is as important to me as it is to you.
